Set on the waterfront with a full view of Copenhagen, IKEA invited the festival participants to an unexpected experience. This was the first time that IKEA attended a festival like this and with a mission to unite people through music and food.
Party at the IKEA Music Lab
Teenage Engineering hosted the Music Lab and curious visitors also got the chance to get a first glimpse of what the upcoming collection FREKVENS could look like. The collection is all about facilitating your party, wherever you may be. And what better place to showcase the prototypes than at a festival? Stay tuned for more about this story!
A taste of the future at the IKEA Food Lab
One of the biggest blockbusters at the Food Lab was the wall of pickled veggies. With a quick 30 seconds pickling this has to be the quickest assembly of an IKEA product so far.
Famous for its meatballs, IKEA naturally also had to include them in the festival menu, although with a new twist. Hungry festival goers queued up to get a plate of the newly developed veggieball and Italian style meatball.
More to come about this! Shortly we will tell the story of how IKEA work with developing food products for the global tastebuds.
